Meet Don & Jeanine
The Cabrera Companies are owned by Jeanine and Don Cabrera residents of Wildwood Crest, New Jersey in Cape May County. Their story dates to 1987 when they met in college at California University of Pennsylvania. Don, a recreation and parks major, and Jeanine, a special education major, and ultimately get married, start their family and businesses.
During the summers of college in the mid-1980s, Don worked for the Morey Organization on the Wildwood Boardwalk as a lifeguard and water park manager. He finished college to return to the Wildwoods to work for the Morey's at their new condominium development in Diamond Beach known as Seapointe Village located between Wildwood Crest and Cape May. Seapointe Village encompasses 17 acres of oceanfront property with numerous recreational facilities and privately owned beach and an on-site real estate sales and vacation property management office. He created the resorts recreation program before receiving his NJ real estate salesperson license to become the General Manager of Seapointe Village Realty. It was here that he gained his initial experience in construction, developer transition, condominium operation, real estate sales, vacation rentals and property management. Don is a CMCA, Certified Manager of Community Associations, Broker-Associate, and CPO, Certified Pool Operator. He also serves as Mayor in Wildwood Crest overseeing public works, engineering, recreation, and tourism.
Jeanine left her job at Bancroft and moved to Wildwood Crest in 1996. Later that same year their first and only child, Adam Cabrera, was born and now a graduate from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. In 1998 Jeanine received her NJ real estate license salesperson license and began to work in real estate at Seapointe Village. Jeanine has been licensed and practicing her profession to this day. She is known for her attention to details in representing her sellers and buyers in the most ethical and professional way. Because of this she has been a New Jersey Association of Realtor's Excellence Service award winner almost every year since then. Currently, Jeanine holds certifications such as GRI, SFR, and continues to take continuing education classes to be the best in her sales profession.
In 2002 Don and Jeanine started their first company, Cabrera Property Management specializing in condominium association management in an office just down the street from their home with two properties in their portfolio. Now Cabrera Property Management has over 40 properties from Sea Isle to Cape May in Cape May County. In 2006, they opened Cabrera Realty and eventually Cabrera Coastal Real Estate.
In their spare time, you may find them running, swimming or doing triathlons. Don now wears the proud title of "IronMan “ also known locally as the IronMayor. The Cabrera Companies are "Real Estate and More" locally owned and operated and vested in the Cape May County community. At the core of all of their business lines, you will find professionalism, resourcefulness, customer service, promptness, and experience.
The Evolution of the Cabrera Brand
The Cabrera brand started with a simple sun and the letter “C” used on a family reunion shirt in 1998. It was modified for Cabrera Hospitality Management, the legal entity for Cabrera Property Management. That later evolved to the Cabrera Realty first logo by adding the “waves” under it designed in the middle of a sleepness night, to the Cabrera Companies and implementation of the beach ball. All color schemed to represent what the coastal shore communities are all about- the sun, beach, and the water. |
